Your session will be a documentary-style session, meaning candid, real-life moments happening in every day locations and situations will be captured, rather than posed portraits. These sessions are about capturing your everyday interactions, routines, and emotions. My aim is to really capture what life is like NOW, in this season of your family’s life.

1. What is a documentary family Session?
2. How long are these sessions?
In order to really document and capture this time in your life, we'll be spending some good time together!
I offer 4 different session lengths/types. A 3 hour session, 6 hour session, full day in the life session (between 10-12 hours), and a year in the life session, which is four 3 hour sessions per season.
During these sessions, I'll just be hanging out with you, loosely interacting while making sure to not disrupt family interactions. While it may seem like a long time, it really ends up being so chill.

3. How do I prepare for a documentary family session?
Here's the best part: THERE IS NO PREP!
Unlike traditional photos where you have to pick a location, outfits, have your hair, make up and nails done, etc, there is no prep for these sessions. The closest thing to prep will be deciding how you want to spend our time together. Beyond that, remember, we're capturing life as it is now. Wear what you would normally wear. Clean your home only as much as you'd like, remembering that one day, you and your children (or grandchildren) might LOVE seeing all those little details in your home.

Here's where things get fun!
During your session, get ready to take this time to just fully enjoy your family! Snuggle, kiss, tickle, run and play!
Of course I'll make sure to get a standard "Everyone look at the camera" photo, but your photos really come alive when you interact the way you normally would! So, I'll give you prompts along the way, and beyond that, don't be afraid to just love on your family and just lean into the moment!

When your gallery is completed, you'll get to experience those sweet moments with your family all over again by viewing a personalized slideshow of your gallery! Then, because I truly believe that life is better when surrounded by visuals of your love, you'll have the option to select from packages that include not just the digital photos but print credits as well, that can be used towards carefully curated products in the gallery store. I want you to be able to enjoy your memories every day, instead of letting them just collect dust on some hard drive!
